LKAB wish to recruit an experienced Mine Planning Engineer to join the Sustainable Underground Mining Project.

The successful candidate will be part of the team that helps to secure the long-term sustainable future of LKAB's deep underground mines.
About the position
Based at the Konsuln Test Mine in Kiruna, the successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team who are developing systems and ways of work for LKAB's mines far into the future.
Knowledge of all aspects of mine planning is required, and in particular the linkages between resources and reserves, the Life of Mine Plan, and scheduling from a long-term focus right down to daily and shift plans. Creating production stability and compliance with the mining plan will be one of the key aspects of the job.
Experience in mine planning and scheduling using software such as Deswik is essential.
The successful candidate will be expected to help set up planning, scheduling and production systems that embrace all available modern technology, and work in a team that delivers next-generation mine control systems for LKAB and the SUM Alliance.
A degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent is essential, as well as a minimum of 5 years' experience as a planning engineer in a production environment.
You will have the ability to work within a team environment and possess excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Good net-working and team-building attributes will be essential. You express yourself in written and spoken English and/or Swedish. The position as mine planning engineer belongs to the Test Mine in the Marketing and Technology Division. You are based in Kiruna.
