LKAB is looking for a Head Mining Engineer for LKAB's mine in Malmberget.

About the position
You will have overall responsibility for the mine's engineering work and will head a workplace whose primary task consists of ensuring personal, facility and production safety for the mine in Malmberget. The workplace is made up of eight mining engineers, whose tasks include creating reinforcement plans, performing inspections in the field and working on the operation and monitoring of the mine's seismic system. The workplace is part of the section for mine planning, but also works closely with other sections at the mine, as well as LKAB research and development.
We work on developing mine planning using new tools and processes. There, you will play a key role in the areas that affect mine safety.
We are seeking a Master of Engineering or equivalent with education in mining and civil engineering. You have experience from supervisory positions in this technical field. It would be considered an additional qualification if you have more advanced education and practical mining experience.
The position requires you to take great responsibility, have the ability to collaborate well with others and the willingness to lead and develop others.
You will be based in the city of Gällivare. Our minetowns Gällivare and Kiruna are situated in Swedish Lapland, above the Arctic Circle. The cities are spread out over vast areas and offer great opportunities for fantastic outdoor activities, such as hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing, ice climbing, etc.
