As a Senior Structural Geologist you will be expected to independently work with projects from the early exploration stage onwards. You will be a part of a team that supports both near mine exploration and field exploration, as a specialist within your area of expertise.
Your responsibilities will be to provide structural geological data acquisition, analysis and interpretation, with emphasis on how these relate to controls on mineralization. You will contribute to LKAB projects using a range of structural geological techniques and methodologies, at various scales, and develop standards for geological and structural geological modelling, data collection and interpretation.
The position also involves supporting and mentoring the junior employees regarding geological and structural issues. This is a permanent position and you will be based in Kiruna or Malmberget, close to the mining operation and city of Kiruna or Gällivare, situated in Swedish Lapland above the Arctic Circle.
