The Mine Planning section (Gruvplaneringen) houses our primary functions for Geology, Diamond Drilling, Mine Planning, Mine Survey and Rock Mechanics. Our section consists of approximately 50 employees, which together in unison establish and develop the mine’s continuous mining plans. We develop our Mineral Reserve which is the basis for a strong Life of Mine Plan in Kiruna. As a Mining Engineer, you work mainly with the mine's strategic issues and have a key role in our work to develop mining alternatives for a strong LoMP. You also work with quality assurance of mining data and calculations that form the basis for our Mineral Reserve, which you help us assess according to the PERC-standard.
In the role, you work closely with key functions among our employees in the mine, which presupposes a communicative way of working and an ability to create good and dependable relations. We see you as flexible and development-oriented with an interest in the world around us and an ability to turn ideas into reality. You enjoy bringing different perspectives together and act as a bridge between the mine, our research department and universities and external experts.

As a person, you have good collaboration and initiative taking skills, you work in a structured and independent manner with the ability to see challenges from a broader perspective.
You have good knowledge of English, both in speech and writing as well as good skills in computer management. We are looking for you with an academic education in rock technology. The service requires a B driving license. Underground mine experience and knowledge of the Kiruna mine are of course meritorious.
