Termination of Force Majeure Event
Den 02 June 2012 kl. 10:46
On 28 May 2012, LKAB declared a Force Majeure on the supply of iron ore pellets due to a major strike in Norway. The Force Majeure declaration was made because the strike affected personnel at the Norwegian National Railway Administration and as a consequence the railway traffic to Narvik stopped.
LKAB has terminated this Force Majeure event effective 2 June 2012. The railway traffic between Kiruna and Narvik is in operation again and LKAB has started restocking at port in order to continue iron ore pellets supply as planned in June and ahead.
